In "Japan Impressions" series, Jon Gorospe captures architectural elements of the Japanese country. Advertising panels, roofs and extracts of buildings have been repeated for several years in his practice and touches the urban space view.

 

The images were printed on coloured A4 paper, obtained in Japan during a recent thirty-day trip across the country. Gray, black and indigo blue are the colours the artist gives to Japanese life and culture. A deep look at the most used building materials, such as iron and concrete, which are mixed with indigo as a pop reference to the “denim” culture that lives the streets.
